I only used a paw trimmer, and since becoming a hunting dog, my dog doesn't need to trim her coat. It works better than the trimmer I used before and is quieter. My dog doesn't mind the sound, she just hates her paws being touched. The trimmer is gentle on her paws, without sharp edges. I often trim the hair on her paws because she is 14 years old and if not trimmed, she will slip on the wooden floor. This is the second automatic feeder I have purchased, and the design is fantastic! I have been here for 7 months now, and it has never disappointed me. I connected the USB power cord to the old phone charger (not included) and installed the battery. When the hurricane struck and there was a power outage, it didn't miss a beat. I hope they include a USB charger.
